Watch The Mouse and His Child

Plot Summary: The Mouse and his child are two parts of a single small wind-up toy, which must be wound up by means of a key in the father’s back. After having been unboxed, they discover themselves in a toy shop where they befriend a toy elephant and toy seal. The child mouse proposes staying at the shop to form a family, which the other toys ridicule. After falling from a counter and becoming broken, they are thrown in the trash. Outside, they become enslaved by Manny the Rat, who runs a casino in the city dump and uses broken wind-up toys as his slave labor force. With the aid of a psychic frog, the mice escape and meet various animal characters on a quest of becoming free and independent “self-winding” toys. They rediscover the elephant and seal, who are somewhat broken down, and manage to form a family and destroy the rat empire.

Chibi-neko soon falls in love with Tokio. In her own mind, Chibi-neko is a small human who speaks in human words, although people only ever seem to hear her meow, and she believes that all humans were once kittens like her. A stray cat tells Chibi-neko of a paradise called Cottonland, where dreams can come true.

Goofy finds out about his son’s antics (sort of), and decides a fishing trip, like his dad took him on, is the solution. Of course, he doesn’t know that Max finally lands a date with Roxanne for a party thrown by the class valedictorian. Through the movie, Goofy tries to bring Max out of his shell, while Max resents being taken away, and lying to Roxanne about the trip (he tells her he & his dad will be appearing on TV at the PowerLine concert in LA). Will Max sink or swim? Will Goofy goof up his son’s first shot at romance? Will Bigfoot step back? And what about those nuns?
